Williams Parker Attorneys Honored with Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Leadership Awards

Williams Parker is pleased to announce that attorneys Charlie Bailey and Michele B. Grimes were recently honored by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce as recipients of its 2019 Celebrate Outstanding Leadership Awards, which recognize exemplary leadership by alumni of its Leadership Sarasota County program. Mr. Bailey received the Impact in Action award which recognizes current community leadership endeavors. Ms. Grimes received the Lifetime of Leadership award which recognizes persons whose body of work in career, community, and beyond epitomizes leadership qualities. The awards were presented at a luncheon held May 7 at the Art Ovation Hotel.

Mr. Bailey is a land use attorney with the firm. He counsels developers and significant landowners on a variety of land use matters, including developments of regional impact, comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, special exceptions, conditional use approvals, site plan approvals, variances, and development agreements addressing concurrency issues. He is a seventh generation Floridian whose many civic activities have included serving as immediate past chair of the board of directors of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and as a past board member of the United Way Suncoast.

Ms. Grimes is a board certified real estate attorney with Williams Parker. She focuses on representing businesses, individuals, and institutional lenders in connection with the acquisition, sale, financing, leasing, and ownership of real property. She also represents foreign individuals and offshore business entities regarding their U.S. real estate holdings. She currently serves as chair of the board of directors of the Sarasota Family YMCA, among numerous other civic and bar activities.
