Williams Parker Appoints Peter T. Currin as Head of Real Estate Section

March 13, 2017

Williams Parker is pleased to announce it has appointed shareholder Peter T. Currin to lead the firm’s real estate practice. Currin succeeds shareholder Patrick W. Ryskamp, who has served in the role since 2010.

“Peter is a superb real estate attorney, and he has shown tremendous leadership as the firm’s associate development partner. We are confident that he will do an excellent job continuing the fine leadership demonstrated by Patrick during his years as head of our real estate group,” said Ric Gregoria, president of Williams Parker.

“I am honored to lead our real estate section,” said Currin. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to expand on the foundation of growth Patrick has helped to establish.”

Currin is certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in real estate. He concentrates on representing lending institutions and has deep experience in the acquisition, financing, development, and disposition of commercial and residential properties. With respect to financing, he regularly represents lenders on construction projects and permanent loans. Currin also frequently issues opinion letters on multi-state real estate transactions.

Williams Parker’s real estate practice has been primary legal counsel to some of the area’s most important developers and real estate investors since the firm’s founding in 1925. The firm’s real estate attorneys represent REITs, developers, financial institutions, private equity investors, single-purpose business entities, and individuals across the full range of real estate-related issues including financing, taxation, zoning, and contracting. The firm’s significant investments in human capital and technology permit it to efficiently handle the full scope of real estate matters—from straightforward residential real estate closings to sophisticated commercial transactions.
