Williams Parker and Sarasota Herald-Tribune to Host Forum on Nonprofit Management

Williams Parker and the Herald-Tribune Media Group are pleased to invite senior executives and board members of the region’s nonprofit organizations to a breakfast forum focusing on management challenges facing such organizations. The seminar will take place Wednesday, November 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune building located at 1741 Main Street in downtown Sarasota.

Keynote speaker Kathryn Miree, a philanthropic advisory consultant with more than 20 years of experience, will present “Surviving and Thriving in a Challenging Nonprofit Environment: 10 Keys to Success.” Additionally, a panel of speakers, moderated by Charles (Dan) D. Bailey, Jr. of Williams Parker and including Kathryn Miree, Joseph McKenna, President and CEO of Sarasota Orchestra, Jennifer Rominiecki, President and CEO of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, and Tom Waters, President and CEO if Easter Seals Southwest Florida, will discuss the top issues and challenges faced by nonprofit organizations. Other topics to be covered include building an effective, dynamic, and engaged board; the attorney-client relationship: getting the most value from your lawyer; media relations: how to draft and submit a press release; supporting organizations: pros, cons, and relationship management; and distribution requirements for maintaining private foundation status.
