LandrumHr to Host Employment Law Seminar June 1

LandrumHR is pleased to announce it will host “Employment Law Jukebox,” a seminar for employers and human resource professionals which will provide updates and guidance on the latest legal developments pertaining to employment law. The seminar will be held Thursday, June 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at The Francis in downtown Sarasota. Presenters include Gail F. Farb and Jennifer Fowler-Hermes, labor and employment attorneys with Williams Parker Harrison Dietz & Getzen; and Amie Remington, general counsel with LandrumHR; and will be moderated by Rick Ratner of LandrumHR. Specific topics to be discussed include the following:

  • First 100 Days of the Trump Administration’s Effect on Employers;
  • Medical Marijuana and Employment;
  • LGBT Rights in the Workplace; and
  • Harassment Prevention.

Ms. Farb and Ms. Fowler-Hermes are labor and employment attorneys with Williams Parker. Both have extensive experience advising employers of all sizes in the private and public sector across a wide range of industries. Representation includes defense litigation, risk management, workplace policies, and traditional labor law issues, as well as practicing before federal, state, and local administrative agencies and in federal and state courts.

Ms. Remington and Mr. Ratner are members of LandrumHR. Ms. Remington serves as the company’s general counsel, advising on all business and employment-related legal issues.
